BRIEFINGMUSIC IS EVERYTHING. BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY...1983 Houston, TX USA: The Nuclear Arms Race of the Cold War. Reaganomics. Return of the Jedi. Madonna. Nintendo. As the Doomsday Clock is mere minutes to midnight, Cliff Lin is born. 1985 Chattanooga, TN USA: In a small town in the Southern United States, the easy living provides an advantageous backdrop for an enriching childhood. By age 2, Cliff sets his musical abilities in motion by memorizing whole songs overnight and reciting them perfectly the next day. 1996 Knoxville, TN USA: Cliff cant wait to get home from school everyday so that he can start his real education, by teaching himself MIDI programming and music theory on a 486 during breaks from computer gaming. 1997 Knoxville, TN USA: High School Band Camp. Cliff decides not to play whats on the page and marches to his own beat. 2001 Boston, MA USA: After adding guitar and bass to his arsenal, Cliff reluctantly enlists at a prestigious music school in the Northeast. While there, his prior interests and experiences fuse and manifest themselves in his new prime directive: Music Production. Not being one to follow rules, he doesnt stay long. 2005 Brooklyn, NY USA: Cliff arrives in New York City with full bandoliers and guns blazing. Finding himself engaged in warfare with a cut-throat concrete jungle as a backdrop, he sees that there are few options. Kill, kill, or be killed. Cliff chooses the first two and upgrades his music production capacity at an exponential rate while surrounded by world-class recording studios, award-winning producers, and ruthless executives. 2009 New York City, NY USA: Cliff battles his way to the top, burning treacherous bridges and forging new alliances along the way. Except there is no top. Just an infinite path that must be travelled with dedication, initiative, heart, soul, mad skills, and beer. 2010 New York City, NY USA: From a remote outpost in Manhattan, Cliff Lin assembles a sizable army of mercenaries nationwide, and they continue to gain advantage in vast fields of music ranging from heavy metal to dramatic soundsscapes to bubblegum pop. |
